Go Wild
Have you ever seen a wild chindi? No, it's not a jungle beast--it's a kind of decorative rope traditionally made in India to create rugs. Brightly colored strips of reclaimed fabric are twisted as they are wrapped around the paper mache form of an animal head, creating ferociously bright bands of color. The nature of this material and its handmade production mean that each one will have its own unique variations in color. They are completed with a sturdy metal hook to keep coats and hats from getting out of control. Handmade in India.

Chindi is usually used for decoration only, but these colorful, decorative hooks take it to the next level. They're fully functional and pretty fun. What animals would you like to see hang around?

I like the horse (? upright, anyway). Can't tell from picture how this is mounted to use as a coat hook, but I'm always looking for something different. Don't think this would have to be for a child's room only. Intriguing
