reclaimed spindle garden stakesby Margaret Taylor
- the story
These garden art pieces by artist Margaret Taylor will set your garden a-flutter with their authentic rustic charm. Handmade from salvaged rusty tin roofs and reclaimed wooden bannister spindles, they add a splash of delightful whimsy anywhere they're planted, and will withstand the weather for years. Handmade in Georgia.
The cheerfully colored dragonfly, with hand-painted wooden "body", wiggly-patterned wings and spiral antenna, both made of sturdy rusted metal will happily add some extra character to your outdoor space.
The yellow-and-black striped wooden bee, with his little spiral antennae and curly feet (both made of sturdy rusted metal), will happily buzz around your garden, yard, fence or mailbox.
The brightly-painted butterfly will flutter its wings at you, beckoning you to emerge from your cocoon. Its wing designs are cut into the metal they're made of, so that light comes through the curlicue shapes.

- the maker
Margaret Taylor's business of creating artful picture frames, mirrors, furniture, birdhouses, garden and wall art actually began as a hobby. Taylor gained experience and knowledge helping her father on house projects. She was inspired by the fundamental beauty of paint and texture, and she soon gained the confidence and ability to imagine and create anything. Her business, Dryads Dancing, is now in its eleventh year.
Taylor has recently started working with other artists and designers, such as Simone Wilson. The purpose of the business is to make art that is unique, affordable and available. collection
