You might love chocolate as much as Sarah Müller and Colin Hartman, but chances are you haven't made a career out of it. Sarah pays homage to her beloved home country, Brazil, through making chocolate with her sweets-loving husband and business partner, Colin. She says that in Brazil she "fell in love with chocolate," and saw an opportunity to use cacao agriculture to affect positive change in the country's rainforests. Every time they plant cacao trees, they also plant rubber trees, banana trees, and other plants to aid better financial and environmental outcomes for the community. The couple has since moved their operation to Washington, D.C., but still source the ingredients from Brazil. When you nosh on their chocolates in sweet satisfaction, you can also feel good about supporting sustainable cropping.
