Botany (Minus Monotony)

To the untrained eye, plants can be a real (herbi)bore! But one brilliant 4th grader named Connor wanted to change that perception, so he created his own series of kid-friendly science experiment kits. The Plant Pals organic growing kit helps children discover the deceptively fascinating world of botany and nutrition while they have fun getting their hands a little dirty and thumbs a little green.

Created from a kid's-eye-view, the Plant Pals include seeds and easy-to-follow instructions on how to plant Mung Beans, Alfalfa and Wheat Grass, plus accessories to chart their growth. Even the most impatient naturalist will be appeased by the three-day turnaround for new sprouts, and once the experiments are finalized, they can trade in their measuring tools for a chef's hat and feast on the fruits of their labor(atory). Assembled in North Carolina.

Connor Bernstein

Connor of Kits for Kids was always a curious and exceptional young experimenter.

Discovering a love of science at a very early age, he was somewhat frustrated with the lack of answers he could find at school or through inadequate store-bought science kits. In 2004, he pioneered his own line of affordable and accessible science kits that have now expanded into a nation-wide phenomenon!

Connor's mission is to inspire the next generation of researchers and entrepreneurs. He hopes that his kits, along with visits to middle school classrooms, where he leads exciting scientific activities and speaks to the importance of following one's dreams, will help kids all over the nation reach their full potential! See all creations.
