Pick a Card, Any Card

Uncover your values when you picture your legacy with this card game. First do it alone, but the fun starts when you play in a group. From within your stack of beautiful photographs, select the images that speak to you and represent how you aspire to fund, operate, invest or be in the world. Ask yourself what you see and what is represented in your top two images, and how they reflect what you aspire to do in the world. Contemplate these topics with your two least favorite images. Then: go around the room and discuss! The discussion is where the fun comes in. Watch how images allow you to get to know yourself better and the people you are playing with. Great for ice breakers, company exercises, and sorting out family (mis)communications. Made in USA.

This game looks like it could be a lot of fun. Can you picture yourself playing with your family and friends?

I like it and I have a similar game. 25 dollars might be too much for cards.

These would be fun for a dinner party at home, but also great in the classroom (use the cards to tell a story). Though $25 might be a bit high.

items like this don't appeal to me and in fact, seem destined/designed for homogeneous groups. i'd love it, though, if it were images that i chose personally. if that were the case, i'd buy it AND $25 for it.

Customizing with your own pictures would have been an amazing and touching as a gift.

It seems as though diversity may be lacking.

I've used these cards with a number of groups and its a moving experience. People don't usually see the images literally; instead, they often say I want to be innovative, like the windmills, or compassionate towards the man covering his face. It's a moving statement about how people want to be in the world... All within a few minutes of sorting a deck of cards.

At first glance (before I actually used them) I didn't think much. But once I started my brain literally turned on like a light! It's amazing how deep and thought provoking this game is. I'd give it ten thumbs up if that was an option!

It's a party game that actually builds thought provoking interesting conversations about your values, vision, and long term impact on the world. The imagery engages everyone in a different way and can create a facinating dialogue between friends, colleagues, students, and folks you know nothing about. Highly reccomended!

a powerful tool to help crystalize people's giving opportunities

A fantastic tool to begin meaningful conversations

An amazingly powerful and thought-provoking tool.

The baltimore women's giving circle's 10th anniversary event, used these cards with the 150 women present. The picture your legacy cards generated an incredibly meaningful and reflective conversation and helped each women crystalize their unique perspective on giving both their financial and intellectual capital to the issues they feel passionately about. The conversation was awesome and helped reveal how our backgrounds, values and interests motivate us in our individual and collective philanthropy. Everyone is still talking about the power of this exercise and many women present used the cards with their own families. The pictures on these cards help define who we are and what we hope our legacy will be. Two thumbs up!

I have used these cards several times in different circumstances and they have helped launch important discussions that everyone wanted to have, but nobody wanted to start.

These are such a great idea. I have two young children at home and my husband and I have been talking about how to instill values in them that we think are important. This could be a great way to facilitate that.

Vote: Thumbs up!

Sounds fun but is a bit pricy.

I was skeptical at first. Seemed cheesy. But it works time and time again. Some people are visual learners and have a hard time expressing themselves. These are great facilitation pieces.

I love using these cards!

Sounds like an indepth way of learning about yourself--and must require a strong sense of character since one is likely to be quite exposed playing this game. Go for it!

This is a unique and powerful took for any number of groups in a variety of situations. It's fun and interesting to see how and why people choose certain photos and promotes an organic discussion about ourselves and the people around us.

Sunds like a new take on "The Ungame" of the seventies.
