The cloth-bound hard cover is custom-printed with the child's name and birthdate, and its sweet giraffe illustration is both stylish and whimsically childlike. Inside are 24 beautifully designed pages, full of prompts like "How we picked your name" or "The Big Day", and a vellum envelope to preserve a lock from baby's first haircut and other mementos. Handmade in Rhode Island.

Jason Thompson
Jason Thompson began making hand-bound books in 1991 after being inspired by one that his wife gave him as a birthday present. He began by running the binding books in his studio apartment. The original books were made with simple hand tools: a knife, bone folder, glue brush, needle and thread. See all creations.
