Jason Thompson began making hand-bound books in 1991 after being inspired by one that his wife gave him as a birthday present. He began by running the binding books in his studio apartment. The original books were made with simple hand tools: a knife, bone folder, glue brush, needle and thread.
As the company grew, Thompson hired more people and moved the business to six increasingly larger studios. His wife Ilira eventually joined the team as general manager, and now, Thompson employs a team of skilled artisans who create quality albums and books from hand. collection
