Something about this item made me think that it was a thermometer... until I read the title. Maybe if I liked martinis....?
Donna
Vote: Thumbs up!
I love it. It's swanky and mod and definitely unique.
Nicole
Vote: Thumbs down!
It looks like a robotic eye being stabbed by a pen. Can anyone say "Terminator 2"?
KAREN
Vote: Thumbs up!
does this come with the pen? otherwise it is priced a little too high, cute item though.
Suzanne
Vote: Thumbs down!
I actually didn't get the joke until reading the description. A bit too clever.
Dawn
Vote: Thumbs down!
Would never use it
Deborah

It doesn't even look like an olive...
Mallory
Vote: Thumbs down!
I think the look of the "olive" could be better. I think it's kinda ugly.
Nancy
Vote: Thumbs down!
Where's the green?
ASHLEY
Vote: Thumbs down!
Did not get the martini connection until after I read the description. It's just ... weird. And not weird in the way I usually love.
Shelley

$65 for a paperweight. Oh, and a penholder. Do people need such a pricey tool to keep track of their writing implements? Clever, but not enough.

I think people will only get that this is an olive if the rest of the room was martini/cocktail themed. If the ball was green instead of silver it would make more sense, and maybe if the pen looked a bit more like a swizzle stick.

Seems expensive for pewter and glass.
MELISSA
Vote: Thumbs down!
like the idea but not the execution. something about the red "olive pit" looks odd/ out-of-place since the rest of the piece - including the body of the "olive" is silver. perhaps it would work better with some hint of green OR with the entire kept silver?
Melissa
Vote: Thumbs down!
Hard to reconize it as martini olive. Just seems a bit odd.
Sharon
Vote: Thumbs down!
Does not look like an olive -- would need to be green. I agree with the comment that it looks like a stabbed eyeball!
Heather
Vote: Thumbs down!
I don't see olive, I see bloody eyeball.
jodi

Martini??? Olive???? don't think so.

I don't get it, but maybe because I'm not a drinker. Wouldn't buy it, for sure.

Silly, but not in a clever way
Cianna
Vote: Thumbs down!
I don't like it. It strikes me as being a pierced red eyeball and overpriced.
Jessica
Vote: Thumbs down!
I like martinis, but this is just weird.
Darcy
Vote: Thumbs down!
I agree with people who didn't know what it was at first ... kind of creepy at first glance, but the price is too high even if I knew what I was looking at.

Vote: Thumbs down!
I agree with the comment about the robot eye. My husband drinks dirty martinis and I know if I got this for him he would not get the olive reference. And what does a martini olive have to do with a pen?
Aimee Dars
Vote: Thumbs down!
Weird angle for a pen holder.
Anita
Vote: Thumbs up!
Great for the martini drinkers!
Kathleen

Death Star, olive, or robot eye, it's cute -- if it comes with the pen.

it looks bad - if it were green it would look like an olive, but this looks like a modern art version of a body party.

If you can't tell what it is without an explanation, perhaps needs to be re-thought, re-designed.

Too off balance-would like to see the pen moved a few degrees to it's left. Even so, Not anything I'd buy. This belongs in a MoMa store.

malinda
Vote: Thumbs down!
Tough call for me, at first I was thumbs up but then I had to go thumbs down. I think its just weird to call this a martini when all it is an olive and an olive in silver and red is weird. Great shape to hold the pen though.
Heather
Vote: Thumbs down!
WAY too overpriced for a pen holder.
Sharon
Vote: Thumbs down!
It's a very attractive, but rather silly object.

Jill

An olive?
Michael

Simple and visually interesting. I think you should also offer this in a green option so it looks like an olive (although the silver is more abstract, and therefore more intriguing). Lower the price and you have a winner, especially for co-worker gift giving around the holidays. I hope for this price, it comes with the pen...
Deborah
Vote: Thumbs down!
Should be green!
Hallie

It looks more like a circle with an orb through it versus an olive?

Tina
Vote: Thumbs down!
Maybe if the glass were green, it would be better. I thought this was more of something of a sci-fi/robot nature than an olive on a toothpick.
Delyn
Vote: Thumbs down!
Didn't know what it was till I read the description. I have a friend that loves martinis but would not pay this much for it.
Jaye
