Higher Education

You graduated from OJ and chocolate milk, crammed endless bottles of soda and energy drinks, and now you've finally matriculated to the grown-up beverages. This is your time to look back fondly on the simpler days of youth as you take a sip of liquid education from this "old school" flask. The flask is made from double gauged stainless steel, and the image is printed on FDA food-grade, tear-free poly paper. You can even fill in your favorite study topic or who this flask belongs to using permanent marker. Handcrafted in the USA

  • Item ID: 22012
  • Materials: burlap, stainless steel, 100% Cotton
  • 4" L x 4.25" W x .75" H, 6 oz.

Kaycee Binns

In 1993, Kaycee Binns was waiting tables at a cafe and dreaming of how to follow her dreams of a career in metalsmithing. One day she was invited to a baby shower, and not having a gift to give, she decided to make one herself. Remembering a story her grandmother had told her as a little girl, Kaycee melted down some left over sterling silver and created a rabbit-themed baby spoon. See all creations.

We were so thrilled when Erin found this fun flask, we had to take a moment to compose ourselves. Would you store your favorite spirit in this double gauged stainless steel container?

Funny! I have a friend that this is perfect for!

ciara

I'm sorry, I don't promote alcohol.

A reasonable price for a decent item. Target audience may be a bit narrow, but it's a cute item, and the fact that you can write on the lines is a big plus.

Elizabeth

Nah! My college child says no. and while I do drink on occasion, I have to agree with Ciara on this one.

Nice looking cufflinks. However - how many auto buffs do I know who would wear cufflinks? Zip.

Love this! Clever, unique and priced fairly. Great gift on turning 21!

If I were to buy a flask, I think this one is great. However, I'm not much of a flask person. Design might be better on a book that lets you keep track of alcohol you've tasted, or drink recipes.

Notebook says school..school says children...children does not say alcohol to me! Even if it is for a 21 year old, alcohol is promoted more than enough all around them, no need to gift wrap a flask to hurry them up on their way to increased alcohol consumption. Don't like it... :(

cute, but don't know many people who carry alcohol around. also worry about the "juvenille" them, wouldn't want any kids to get ahold of it and drink out of it accidentally.

Different! Reasonably priced.

I don't really get it.... and I wouldn't want to promote alcohol when thinking about school. No thanks.

Really, a flask for students. Let's encourage them to drink in class too.

Would make a cool gift for groomsmen.

Joan

Would not want to promote my college age kids to walk around with this or have it on campus. If caught they would get kicked out!

I'm going to take the "high and mighty" road and say no. Although I do like notebooks and flasks...just not in the same product.

Irene

always loved those notebooks and would love to have this

I like it, though I'm well past using composition notebooks in school I still adore them. Anywhere I can get that nostalgic print I'll take it. the flask itself looks rather cheep though. 50/50

I agree with other commenters; I am fond of the classic composition books, but it does seem to suggest drinking in the classroom somehow!

Jane

Would students today even recognize the composition book? I think it's a cute bit of nostalgia with a little tongue in cheek... guess it's not for everyone.I'm going to get one for a friend who is a teacher! Don't freak out! I'm sure she will enjoy it responsibly and extracurricularly!

Great adult gift (retirement/50th BD etc).Could be priced a bit lower. I'd never givethis to a college kid

Really not a good idea to mix a representation of being in school (thus underage) with drinking alcohol, ya think? I'm a liberal and I even believe in that one :)

Catherine

Seems inappropriate to me.

all starts here. Like the idea.

susan

At first I thought this was adorable. Then I realized most students are underage drinkers. Then I wasn't so enthused. I realize it's not aimed at students, but.... they'll find it.

Stephanie

hahah love it.
