Building the Nest Egg
This nest box is beautiful on its own in your garden, but imagine how much you'll want to see it when birds make a home right under your nose. The box is easily cleaned and, in addition to being constructed of non-toxic, natural and sustainable materials, it's completely weatherproof. Share this nest box with children, friends and family for years to come. Wrens, Bluebirds, Sparrows, Larks, Nuthatches and Titmice are just a few that would like this kind of home. Handmade in Canada.
Please note: due to the handmade nature of this item, each will vary. The wave design on the front (below the opening) isn't simply decorative, it is there to give the birds a better perch when entering the nest box. During the glazing process, some of the glaze is wiped off the wave design to provide a better grip for the birds, as the glaze can be slippery.

I love it, especially the colors. Certain colors attract certain birds. Will blue-ish gray be the only option?

Great idea Ciara. Blue is the only color available at this time, but we'll keep your suggestion in mind! Which colors would you recommend?

Thanks for the answer, I think it'd be cool to see one in red, with somewhere to put the syrup for hummingbirds. Or forest colors like browns, greens, and grays which attract songbirds.

Anything for our little bird friends! The grooves under the entrance look like they would be great for little birdie feet.

This is beautiful and looks well-made, however the price is high. Although, it may very well be worth that much from the craft and beauty.

beautiful! I love that it's partially made from bamboo. Can you include a photo of how it opens for cleaning?

I like it - love the colour and the style. But does it hang? Can I mount it on the side of the house or a tree or on a pole?

Is there a way to tell when it is occupied by a bird? Otherwise how will you know when you can clean it?

Results on this item are coming soon. While our buyers are calculating the votes and contemplating your comments I'm here to answer a few questions. This handsome house can be easily hung using a single nail or screw. The only way to be certain whether a bird is living in it is to keep an eye on the box. When it isn't occupied, you can clean it by undoing the wires that hold the ceramic front in place and opening the box to get it ready for it's next occupant. Thanks for your questions!
Marie
Very beautiful as a conversation piece, love the colors. Don't see it as a nest box though. Extremely high price. Don't we have any talent in the USA?
