Raised in Chicago, Connie Verrusio now lives in New York's Hudson Valley, where she makes her jewelry by hand, often out of recycled mechanical objects. "I am fascinated by all things mechanical," she says, "and the choices I make reflect a deep reverence for the quality of workmanship, all too often a thing of the past."
If she were not an artist, she says she'd probably be a farmer.
