Comments about MY ECO CAN:

I think I left a review shortly after buying these and I was generally happy. The flip top is a bit annoying because it doesn't stay up, but I find we just unscrew the lid most of the time. Also, 2 of the lids had the plastic chip by the flip top, without a hard fall and that seems flimsy. But generally, they were perfect for us.

It's been over a year now, and these really aren't all I had hoped. I love the insulation, the BPA-free, the size, dishwasher safe... But the bottom line is that they leak. We use them in our lunches and often have milk packed in them. The can is not turned upside down or even on its side. Yet every day, there is a small puddle of milk in the bottom of the lunch pail and other food has milk on it. The can itself looks dry, so I can only assume it is coming through the screw-top lid. While we do put the base in the dishwasher, we hand wash the caps so the seal wouldn't be exposed to dishwasher high temps. Hasn't helped.

Also, we scrub these pretty good and they definitely retain a milk smell. So much so, that my husband almost threw away the milk because he thought it had gone sour. But once decanted, it's fine. That's a big turn off.

These are coming out of rotation for us. I love the concept, but it's just not working. We have 4 and pack a lot of lunches and that's just too much milk sopping up to do. Now lunch pails and snack bags smell like milk.

Best use: water. In a cooler or some other place where it's okay if it leaks clean water out. We use these daily. I do wonder if occassional users wouldn't experience the same leaking problem.

My kids are much too old for sippy cups, but a little clumsy for wide-open tumblers and glasses on the sofa. These are perfect for containing drinks in the family room, and avoiding spills.

Don't understand the point, just buy a water bottle from a sporting goods store for $6. It holds more and is cheaper =)

Cute, but... I, and assume most, have GOBS of reusable travel drinking vessels. I am beginning to wonder if "we" aren't just creating more non-biodegradable eventual trash for the landfill in "our" attempts to create less?

I like these. They are made from non toxic materials. As for biodegradabel, nothing disintragrates in a landfill once the lanfill is covered and no air can get in to help break down the products. I still think this is a cute ides, especially if they keep drinks cold.

Interesting. I wonder how practical it is to use them...do they really securely shut if someone does choose to put juice or soda in them?

This is a really cool product idea. I would use one of these on the daily, however, I would miss my deposit on soda cans.

Sure, they SAY "eco-can" but I don't see how these are actually good for the environment. How are they an improvement over using a water bottle or a glass?

I think the price of $14 is a little high. I think something like this should sell between $5 to $8.

I like this idea. It's just another variation to choose from for carrying beverages or even trailmix. It's smaller, more compact than the average water bottle, so it will fit nicely into backpack, daypack, and waistpack pockets and holders. Great idea for hikers and campers!

I love reusable drink containers but cant see myself wanting to walk around with something that (a) looks like a pop can and (b) is so blantant in its marketing of its "green-ness. The idea is fine and they have a plus over water bottles in that they would fit into coolers designed to hold a six pack of cans, but they cost too much for singles to consider buying more. I'm not sure I'd buy one at that price, but I'm not likely to buy one per family member.

great idea with a clever twist, but i'd prefer them a bit larger, say 12-15oz? personnally i could envision using it in my house as i can't leave uncovered cups alone for even an instant unless i want to share with my kitty, but doubt i would purchase for the price (assuming the price is for one) unless it held a bit more volume.

This looks like a waste of money.

These are cute, but I hope the price is for a set of 2 or 3...if it's the price for just one unit, then you need to up the fluid ounces that it can hold.

Is this supposed to be a substitute for a pop can? If it is, you'll just throw out the original can anyway. Don't see the point; just get a waterbottle.
