Colored With Care
Eco-friendly and produced using fair trade practices, the radiant colors steeped into this tagua necklace are reminiscent of semi-precious stones and glossy ivory. At 38 inches, the generously proportioned, silk cord and multi-hued bead necklace can be worn either doubled up or left hanging.
As a natural and animal-free source of sustainable carving material, tagua is a humane alternative to ivory, which is why it's often referred to as "vegetable ivory."
Although tagua does not bleed or fade, it is recommended that it be kept out of direct, prolonged sunlight and dried, if wet, before storing. All of Monica Farbiarz's tagua products are handmade in a Colombian workshop, where workers are treated fairly and often help design parts of the collection.
- Item ID: 19930
- Materials: faux leather, tagua nut
