Serotonin and Dopamine

Start a conversation with this clever jewelry fashioned from the shapes of a few rather important molecules. Serotonin, a chemical responsible for happiness and relaxation, has an elegant shape that makes for a terrific necklace that will make you grin as much as the chemical it represents. And the dopamine earrings represent passion and pleasure with splendid scientific flair. Each piece is sterling silver and comes in a recycled box with an informational tag. Handmade in California by Dr. Raven Hanna.

Dr. Raven Hanna

Dr. Raven Hanna has Ph.D. in molecular biophysics and biochemistry and did her postdoctoral research at Berkley. But these days you won't find her in any lab. A few years ago, she traded her science career for an creative one. She's been making science-inspired jewelry ever since.

Raven's molecular pieces are inspired by the neurotransmitters that she finds interesting, and ones that can be applied to daily life. Her work is a celebration of science, art, life and the universe.
