Modern art meets function in this wall-mounted cat scratch frame. Is your cat a true supporter of the arts? And would you prefer a subtle black frame or eye-popping purple?

That's funny! I have seen this before, but UncommonGoods should definitely carry this for all the cat lovers out there.

not sure a cat would deign to use this, but it's cute

Liane

I can't see any of my cats wanting to use this. Also, overpriced.

I probably wouldn't pay $40 for it, but I do like the idea of this.

Justine
Vote: Thumbs down!

It just doesn't seem like an item that any one would want to put up as a decoration. Plus it teaches the cats to scratch on the wall.

T

I like it, but scratch posts etc are designed to be destroyed/refilled. I don't see an option for that here, and $40 is too steep if it's going to have such a limited useful life.

As with the hoodle (above), another needless gimmick. I douby my cat would use it.

Cats love to scratch and in a variety of angles...very clever and this would save the door jams and my house that is for sure!

GREAT IDEA BUT WAY TOO SMALL!

cats aren't that easy.

Susan
Vote: Thumbs down!

I doubt the cat would use it. It's too small.

Susie
Vote: Thumbs down!

It's too expensive. Granted a little more festive looking than a piece of cardboard, etc but I just couldn't justify the cost nevertheless.

Love the idea of getting rid of the scratching post and adding art to my cat's life. Nicely made, too.

Thanks for the feedback, T! The insert can be removed and vacuumed clean, so it will last though many, many scratches. If this item is accepted into the assortment, our merchandising team will also look into offering replacement inserts.

I wouldn't pay $40.00 for this but if it was more reasonably priced I would buy it. I used to have a wall mounted cat scratcher and the cat loved it.

Don't like cats...but if I had one this would be pretty cool.

Nancy
Vote: Thumbs down!

I have a cat. She is too unpredicable about where she decides to scratch for me to spend $40 on it.

Diane
Vote: Thumbs down!

To expensive for something that will, because of it's intended use, get trashed. Besides which, it is way too tiny. My cats would want something four times that size.

savannah
Vote: Thumbs up!

it seems different and kind of cool, but it seems too small...

jamie

Why not save $20-$30 and buy a nice scratching post?

Karen
Vote: Thumbs up!

A bit small and a bit pricey, but if refills are offered if would be an attractive solution to small spaces.

Emily

I wouldn't pay $40 for something for my cat that I'm just going to have to throw away in a couple of months. I can't see my cat actually using it anyway. I don't find it attractive and wouldn't want it on my wall. I think it would look weird to have this random thing on my wall at cat-level.

Alexis

teaches the cat bad habits, isn't refillable, is expensive and a little tacky

Michelle
Vote: Thumbs down!

This is just stupid. Why would you encourage your cat to scratch your walls?

Rachel
Vote: Thumbs up!

It's a good way to make the cat scratching post less noticeable in a room. However, it is way too expensive given the fact you can buy one for a fraction of the cost which is important since the scratch batting needs to be replaced every couple of months. This one doesn't seem to come with a way to change the batting which makes it impracticable.

Thanks for your comments, Michelle! This product is actually designed to prevent your cat from scratching where it shouldn't. Think of it like a standard scratching post. Even though a scratching post is out in the open in a room (like any piece of furniture), your cat learns to only scratch the post and not your couch, a floor lamp, or another free-standing piece of home decor. Here, your cat learns to scratch only a small portion of the wall and not elsewhere on the wall or other hanging objects.

Looks like art but functional. A little pricy but neat.

Anita

I like the concept, but fear that it would teach a cat to scratch at the wall. plus, way overpriced

Robert
Vote: Thumbs up!

NIce idea, but the frame size is rather small, and it's a bit pricey...

Di

I don't care for cats. They are cute, but don't want one.

Christina
Vote: Thumbs up!

I'm torn because I don't think my cat would use it because of the size and fact that the'd probably take it off the wall but I get the angle they're going for. I wouldn't spend $40 on a chance.

Very clever

Elizabeth

Ugly. I like aesthetically pleasing items in my home, even for my cats.
