Debra Folz

Debra Folz's creations bridge the worlds of function and art. Whether she's designing furniture, home accessories or gallery pieces for exhibition, she loves to make things that invite the viewer to see familiar things in a new way. She loves to combine unexpected materials--like wrapping wooden stools with ladylike, pleated textiles--or transforming the way we interact with an object--such as a photo album that you open by removing its spine. Folz's work has been featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, and Dwell, among others. Her studio is located in Boston's historic South End neighborhood, and she leads the Furniture Design Studios at the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University.

This colorful folder might look like your average desk accessory at first, but look closer and you'll see that it's actually a metal storage bin. Does it have your vote?

We received a fantastic thumbprints art kit from UncommonGoods, from Auntie Eve! Soleil, who is now 3, loves creating bugs with his fingers and thumbs.

What beautiful frames! I love all the different colorful pieces. And it's made in the USA, not China. Great!

Patti

No, just not very appealing or attractive. Maybe in other colors.

I think items would hang out the sides making this look very messy.

I prefer a more uncluttered look and having "files" attached to the wall would look cluttered and like I tacked file folders onto my wall.

I prefer a more uncluttered look, adding these to the wall would look like I just tacked up a file to my wall.

Hazard waiting to happen no matter what level it's hung. IMO. Neat though.

not very unique idea. Get rid of paper by shredding. Ensures you put them in this and then don't deal with them. Not a good idea.

Giselle

I hope it'll come in other fun colors!

Wouldn't everything stick out the sides? Folders aren't the cutest looking items anyways...so I don't want them hanging on my walls. That's just me though!

A file folder needs to be flexible. This would not be.

Shay

looks like it extends too far into the room
