"It's not down on any map; true places never are." Evan Robertson’s impressionistic print celebrates this memorable line from Melville's Moby Dick. A world map becomes a Rorschach-like mirrored border, while the form of a compass points to directions truer than north, all framing Melville's geographic meditation on the authenticity of place. This original design rendered in archival ink on premium archival paper is a rare discovery for the literary-minded or wanderlust-afflicted. Designed in New York; printed in Pennsylvania.
