Petals From Metals
Classically romantic flower petals are made modern in artist Beth Lawrence's refined rendition in gold filled or sterling silver. Three thin sheets of metal are hammered into suggestive, petal-like shapes and hung from a sterling silver chain, resulting in a piece that embodies femininity and sophistication. Whether it's worn with formal attire or an everyday ensemble, this stunning piece adds chic elegance to any outfit it accompanies. Handmade in Nashville, Tennessee.
- Item ID: 21772
- Materials: sterling silver, gold
- open circles: 2.25" dia. x .75" L, Chain: 18" L
- The fundamentals of good jewelry care are: make sure it is the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. Always store it out of the open air and keep it away from chemicals such as sunscreen, hairspray, perfume, etc. Clean your jewelry perodically with a polishing cloth to remove skin oils and to keep it shiny longer. Another good rule of thumb is to wash your jewelry with soap and water (and rinse and dry well) after a wild night of partying or just a hot day at the park. It is also not recommended to exercise in your handmade jewelry, as it can cause unnecessary stress on the piece, and the salt from sweat does not react well with the metals.
Beth Lawrence
Founded in 2006, Freshie & Zero studio is located in Nashville, TN where each piece of jewelry is created by "Freshie" Beth Lawrence while her dog Zero sleeps nearby. A Nashville native, Freshie has made jewelry since she can remember, and even sold her work to neighbors and boutiques while still in elementary school! After earning a BFA in Studio Art from Belmont University, she worked in art and craft galleries in Atlanta and Nashville before rekindling her passion for creating jewelry. Mainly drawing inspiration from geometry, she makes each piece with "love and a hammer", using sterling silver and gold-filled wire to create jewelry that is simple and delicately feminine. Freshie travels extensively to promote her jewelry. However, Zero typically stays in the studio dreaming about squirrels and peanut butter. See all creations.

This necklace is traditional yet quite abstract. How would you wear Lucky Petals?

I don't see petals when I look at it, just half-circles.
