After offering to teach her daughter's pre-school class basic yoga, NYC-based yogi Jensen Wheeler Wolfe discovered a few logistical problems from the get-go. Regular yoga mats made for grown-ups were simply too large for both her little students and for their classroom. Determined and inspired, she created a special slew of mini-mats for the little yoginis by cutting up those designed for adults. Her om-worthy gifts were instant hits and since having their own special mat helped the children find their personal space, it even helped them master moves, from downward facing dog to full lotus. She decided to take her idea beyond her daughter's classroom, and after teaming up with designer Nicaela Callimanopulos, she launched a special line of child-friendly eco-mats that are just the right size for tots under the age of 4.
Made for tumbling toddlers and gymnastic kids alike, these portable mats are perfect for budding masters beginning their yoga journey, whether they're tagging along with their parents or just striking a pose, spending tummy time, or even taking a nap at home. Mats are made from TPE (thermal plastic elastomer) a closed-cell, foam-based material that locks out germs, odor, and bacteria. The bright designs are inspired by Sun Salutes and are printed with vibrant, soy-based inks. CPSIA tested and approved. Free of toxins, lead, phalates, PVC, formamide, BPA, and latex. 100% biodegradable, recyclable, and hypoallergenic. Made in Taiwan.
