There's good reason that travelers so often hold on to money from the countries they have visited. The design of each bill evokes the spirit of a place and conjures fresh memories of the visitor's time there. Artist David Petr evokes a whole lifetime of travel adventures with this photographic collage of global currency. Petr photographs each bill separately in order to capture the finest detail in every line and feature. He then painstakingly assembles the images, with rulers and national heroes peering out around castles and monuments.

The artwork is printed to the artist's exacting standards onto lustre photographic paper in order to produce its characteristic sharp color and detail. The art is then framed by a Master Framer, using all archival materials to preserve the artwork's quality. Produced in very limited number, this remarkable work will be treasured by travelers and art aficionados alike. Handmade in Winter Haven, Florida.

Rusted, dented and scratched items rich with patina are common topics explored under David's lens. The steadily growing body of work began with Petr's determined search for captivating objects from antique stores, flea markets, junk shops, online, and across the country. Hand-picked with an almost obsessive eye for quality, his found objects are orchestrated under the camera, often with several shots to create one final image.
