legacy of an adopted childby Chloe Marty
- the story
Remember the Day
Every adopted child has his or her own special journey to a loving, lifelong home.
Artist Chloe Marty presents the anonymous poem "Legacy of An Adopted Child" in crisp, modern typography, telling the story of a child's two families and honoring the role of both mothers. The child's name, date of birth, and adoption date appear beneath the poem, paired with the silhouette image of a playful baby.
Chloe coined the term "remember-the-days" to describe her commemorative art. Her contrast of bold lettering with the poem's heartfelt sentiment suggests the gentleness that loving a child inspires in us all.

Chloe Marty discovered her passion for design after graduating college and entering the professional world. A business degree and her career path weren't offering the creative training and outlet she soon discovered she craved, so she self-educated herself in graphic design and tools. She created her niche, marrying business and design, resulting in a design company that is creative and that does good business. Chloe eventually attended the Art Institute for some formal design and web programming education, which rounded out her self-taught design skills. She currently owns hello there, design LLC, a freelance design company that offers design services in a wide range of areas from wedding, invitation, and announcement design to logo, branding, and identity work.
