We love the idea of creating art on your camera before creating art through your photography! Do you love this design? How would you decorate La Sardina DIY Camera?

35mm where do you find it?

Cassie, UncommonGoods Community Moderator

Hi, Sylvia. 35 mm film is still available from many retailers, such as drugs stores and some department stores. You can also buy it online.

For artists of all ages and abilities!

I'm giving this a thumbs up as this would be fun to use. Creativity could run wild with this camera!! My only complaint: Made in China. I hope the quality matches the price, whatever that will be.

Vote: Thumbs down!

I might buy it - like the idea - but have to give thumbs down to "made in China"

Jules

Yes, you can still buy the old film, but it's getting harder to find, and B

Who uses film?

Kerri

It would be so tough to find 35mm film nowadays.

Like the idea. Would have been nice to see some sample pictures. Wish in wasn't made in China.

I love film cameras and being able to change things like you can here, BUT IT IS MADE IN CHINA!

Vote: Thumbs down!

I must be missing the point. What are you supossed to do with it?

lj
Vote: Thumbs down!

difficult to find 35mm or to have it developed

Shay
Vote: Thumbs down!

It is a cute idea but I don't think it would really catch on. The film is too hard to find and any camera that comes with a screwdriver is too schizophrenic for most people.

Hate to go with the 35 mm, but it's true...and I just want more of their marketing point besides it's white...

Gayle
Vote: Thumbs down!

Like the idea... but.... Made in China?

Margaret
Vote: Thumbs down!

This doesn't seem worth the effort for the amount of fun it would be.

Cassie, UncommonGoods Community Moderator

Hi Eugenie. Thanks for voting! It's an actual, functional camera, but the outside is white and can be painted or drawn on, so you can decorate it however you'd like. It also includes a clear plastic cover, so you can draw on paper and cover it (to protect your design) instead of putting permanent decorations right on the plastic.

What happened to pen and paper

Seems a bit complicated and made in china

Concept unique... 35mm not a draw, and carrying a screwdriver to make the changes? IDK. I think I'd need to see examples of the work it's capable of doing, and a suggested price, but I'm hard pressed to think of an opportunity I'd use it.

Just say no to Made in China!

Daphne
Vote: Thumbs down!

Might be okay if it was simplified and made digital.

Shannon
Vote: Thumbs down!

Not sure how easy it is to find 35MM film, let alone trying to find somewhere that still develops it within a reasonable timeframe.

Sam
Vote: Thumbs down!

This looks pretty cheaply made and doesn't really match the feel of the site.

jim
Vote: Thumbs down!

I love camera novelties, but this has to be digital today. It could be done.

janie
Vote: Thumbs down!

Understand what to do with but don't understand why anyone would want it. I just took some old 35mm film in for development and the price was ridiculous to me. Even if this was digital wouldn't appeal to me but could see a teen liking it. Since Made in China definitely a no.

Allison

Very cool!

Laura

As another voter said, ''"What fun!'"

Carmen
Vote: Thumbs down!

It's retro cool but 2 turnoffs: 1. how hard is it to find the film and how much will that cost, 2. made in china

Candace
Vote: Thumbs down!

Film? Seems outdated.

Super creative. I'm in love.

Emerson

- concept sounds creative-if not a bit confusing-, but would need to see some photos showing the different functions of camera-

Carolyn

Maybe for a kid...otherwise you might as well use filters on your actual Iphone or in your photography editing apps.
