Page-Turning Memories

Your memories of life's special moments were never meant to be tucked away in a box or hidden in the digital memory of your camera. It's only when they're available to be explored and enjoyed that your favorite photos get to take on a life of their own.

This standout album doesn't just sit on your shelf. It's a handcrafted, sculptural piece that makes an eye-catching accent on your counter or coffee table, inviting people to come and peruse. The album balances at an angle on a unique, "bent corner" base, which is reinforced internally with aluminum to ensure stability and longevity. Open the book, and you'll find pages die-cut for photographs, in both portrait and landscape layout. An elastic cord holds the book closed when not in use. Set it out where it can be enjoyed, and even when you're not flipping through it with family or guests, you'll have a special reminder of all the treasures inside. Handmade in the USA.

Debra Folz

Debra Folz's creations bridge the worlds of function and art. Whether she's designing furniture, home accessories or gallery pieces for exhibition, she loves to make things that invite the viewer to see familiar things in a new way. She loves to combine unexpected materials--like wrapping wooden stools with ladylike, pleated textiles--or transforming the way we interact with an object--such as a photo album that you open by removing its spine. Folz's work has been featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, and Dwell, among others. Her studio is located in Boston's historic South End neighborhood, and she leads the Furniture Design Studios at the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University.

This clever Keepsake Photo Album lets you keep your favorite photos in the forefront. Would you store your snapshots in this book?

Do people really develop pics anymore? Mostly, pics are on your iPhone or computer. Sometimes, if it's a special occasion, you make a Shutterfly book.

I really like the way this item stands up, and the color assortment. I am a scrapbooker, and I'm always behind on scrapbooking, so I look for unique ways to display pictures. I hope it is acid free...very important when storing pictures. I am even wondering if some scrapbooking techniques could be used on the pages.

Love it! I hate pics on phones, etc. I like to hacve mine printed on quality paper and stored in an album where you can see, touch, feel, etc. A nice warm fuzzy idea...and a pretty color...and best of all - made right here at home. Vintage idea with a modern look.

Books are the new "development" in photography because computer screens are not the best way to view pictures. So as books become more the norm this is a standout.

No space for it....again, made in China.

I really like it. It bothers me that to look at pictures or read a book these days you need electricity to do it.

Great design. Encourages people to pick it up and browse. Another idea would be a journal that you could put on each table at a wedding or other event as part of the centerpiece for guest to write in. - eliminates the line at the guestbook

What a great idea! Things get piled on top of each other. This would make the memories stand up and be noticed.

It doesn't fit in a bookshelf so when I'm done looking at it...I have to figure out where it goes.

Yolanda
Vote: Thumbs up!

Better to display incase the memories in a way to be inquired about and viewed often than just sitting on a bookshelf!

Amanda
Vote: Thumbs up!

I love the style of it. The standing position is great too.

I love having printed pictures in albums for easy access and to share with family and friends

this is cute but couldn't be stored on a bookshelf - so this would need to be on a coffee table but it's not interesting enough for it to be on a coffeetable...

Way to much money unless a gift for VIP.

Susannah

Takes up too much room especially if you have more than one and it would get knocked over so often in my household that it wouldn't be worth it. I am happy it is made in the USA--keep that up, please!

Daisy

Practically impractical. At the end of the day, the eventual storage of this item will choose to be difficult. Though I love that it is handmade in the US!

Joey

Looks like a neat idea, but I really can't see myself using something like this. I can't remember when I last printed picture.
