The Ocean Deep
Offsetting the rustic look of natural wood with the freeform silhouette of a jellyfish, this eye-catching wall art brings an unexpected touch of the ocean's depths to your home. Carved out of solid walnut, the background is stained with natural teak oil, letting the intricate carvings stand out against a two-tone palette. Handmade by Dave Marcoullier in San Francisco.

Dave Marcoullier is a certified arborist and landscape designer living in San Francisco's Mission District, and much of his work is an extension of these two disciplines.
His work is comprised of CNC routed solid hardwood wall hangings and cheese boards. He derives color variations and contrast by treating some areas with natural oil, while leaving other areas of wood untouched.
As no two wood grains are the same, each and every piece is unique. Dave takes pride in selecting only the finest grains, and orienting color, direction and striation to best compliment the context of the design.
