The Land Down Under

They say that the deeper you get into a bottle of wine, the more of yourself is revealed. That is certainly true for this exquisite decanter set. Handblown by Nadine Saylor with the care and craftsmanship of a glass art sculpture, both decanter and its matching tumbler have an angular island that rests below the surface of your spirits. As drinks are poured, slowly its contours are revealed. And, most strikingly, the physical properties of glass allow light to refract around its edges, focusing into a point of almost mystical light, right at the island's exposed peak. When not in use, the tumbler flips over and rests atop the decanter's slender neck to serve as a stopper. Handmade in Illinois.
