Happily Ever After

This is not your typical electronic reader cover. Handmade by traditional bookbinders in England, this protective cover has all the sturdiness and charm of your favorite hardcover classics, but slips neatly over your very modern electronic reader. Ereader cover fits the Kindle 3, iPad cover fits the iPad 2. E-reader cover for Kindle Fire is coming soon.

These stately covers are also available in four other titles: Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Charles Darwin's On The Origins of Species, Einstein's Theory of Relativity, and Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace.

The Manor Bindery

The Manor Bindery, created in 1976 by a group of friends with a common passion for books and fine binding, get its namesake from the Manor of Cadland, an estate once used by William the Conqueror himself. Bringing together a small team of craftsmen, expert in binding and restoring antiquarian books the company has expanded and diversified into new and interesting fields. One of which is the manufacture of false books. Some might say this is unusual but the use of false books to conceal doors, weapons and other secrets is as old as bookbinding itself. The Kindle and iPad are the perfect example of wrapping new, modern technology with the look and nostalgic feel of an antiquarian book.

Comments about IPAD & KINDLE BOOK CASE - FAIRY TALES:

While I must say that I woulnd have been very disappointed (like many of these reviewers) had I paid $50 for this, for the now clearnace price it is very nice. It is just a sturdy cardboard/paperboard material with a very shiny coating on top, and then marbled paper on the inside. There is no way to hold it closed, but I love that I can just leave it around and it doesn't stand out that it's a Kindle. The cover is attractive and fits in well with my antique decor.

The product advertising was a bit deceiptful. This product was literally cardboard!!! For $$$!!. This was a very expensive mistake by UncommonGoods! I will never purchase their products again. We found a leather version of this product for the same price. Good luck Uncommon Goods; with this type of product, you are going to need it.

This Fairy Tale I-pad2 cover is not only practical and easy to flip, it is also quite lovely in its resemblance to a nineteenth-century Hans Christian Anderson collection. The border trim and art cover replicate the books of old.

Worth about $15-20 not [$]. So disappointed because i couldn't wait to get this in the mail. I opened it and was shocked at how cheap looking it was, made of cardboard. Will be returning it right away. Bummer.

          On the fence

Comments about IPAD & KINDLE BOOK CASE - FAIRY TALES:

The case I received was definitely not one I was expecting.
I was looking forward to the green vines and designs, but mine has absolutely no green and a different interior. You need new pictures that represent the product.

I wanted the Origin of Species case but I guess it was sold out. This was a gift and I just can't afford the return shipping, which is unfortunate.

I like the case but would not get your hopes up for what is pictured.

Also, when I got the case all the corners were bent in, looking like I had had it awhile. Embarassing.

I purchased this product because it was unique and purportedly handmade. What I received was a nothing more than a fancy cardboard cover. I would never use something so flimsy to keep my iPad safe & secure! I returned it immediately.

I bought this product hoping that it would fit my new Kindle Fire. The dimensions were only off by a few tenths of an inch but unfortunately, it did not work. When I had to return my unwanted item I was forced to pay for return shipping. I am not very satisfied with the customer service. When I contacted them about my query they simply copied and pasted the same statement from the website with no additional thought or help.

Definitely not what I expected. 'Traditional bookbinders' in England made me think leather! I expected leather, especially at that price. I also thought it would fit the first generation Kindle.

I received this as a Christmas gift for my Kindle and I love it! It's cute, functional, and protects my Kindle. The rubber casing inside holds the Kindle securely and is easy to use to turn the pages, etc. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is that I found the rubber casing to look a little cheap. Overall, though, I love it!
