The Royal Treatment

With its deep blue color, indigo is among the oldest dyes to be used for textile dyeing and printing, and originated in India centuries ago. Rare and beautiful, the luxurious dye was highly valued by the ancient Greeks and Romans often worn by high-ranking officials and the nobility.

With Christine Schmidt's all-in-one kit you can fashion a scarf fit for royalty in the comfort of your own palace. Housed in a dripless applicator, the vivid indigo-colored fabric ink delivers permanent liquid color on whichever garments you choose to decorate while keeping the mess contained. The booklet includes instructions for tie-dye, shibori dye, vat dye, and resist dye techniques, as well as painting and stamping patterns. Kit assembled in San Francisco, California.
