- the maker
Glass artist Jamie Harris' present work is a culmination of years studying at some of the most prestigious glass schools in the country and with some of the most renowned glass artists in the world. Harris graduated from Brown University before pursuing his career as an artist. His sculptural work is characterized by its painterly quality, and his designs are featured in galleries and stores worldwide.
Harris currently lives in New York City and loves being surrounded by talented glass artists and a network of other artisans. Much of his work comes from a team effort and he says his continuing exploration of glass technique comes from interaction with his students. "The progression of my work has been a direct outgrowth of working with students to tackle difficult areas of glass technique," Harris says.
