Sheila Freemantle

Sheila Freemantle created Tintsaba in 1985. Sheila believes that creating an income generating opportunity for these women will help them take charge of their lives, both personally and professionally. With Tintsaba, these women have the chance to hone in on their craft and this practice culminates in highly refined objects like these charming, handcrafted baskets. Using these acquired skills, these craftswomen can teach new recruits or even transfer these skills to other professions guaranteeing a virtuous cycle of continuous development for all the producers.
