Vintage Craftsmanship

Completely handmade by Lynn Gledhill, this iron corkscrew brings tactile appeal to your wine accouterments. Heated in a forge, iron bars are drawn out, rounded, pointed, and rolled with hammer and anvil to form the corkscrew. The handle is also heated and hand twisted into its unique, grip-able shape. The two sections are welded together, then polished and finished for a tool with satisfying heft and heirloom quality. Handmade in Junction City, Oregon.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

Lucky for him, artisan blacksmith Lynn Gledhill transitioned from making horseshoes as a farrier to making decorative iron designs. From his Oregon workshop, he began to play with forging iron into gates, railings, and arbors with floral elements that suggest an organic sense of growth.
