Help protect the endangered snow leopard while making sure you don't save any tomato sauce for later on your shirt. This set of four intricately stitched napkins is made from hand-spun and embroidered cotton by families in the Chitral district of northern Pakistan. Living at the base of the Himalayan mountains, Chitrali families often find themselves at odds with the indigenous and endangered snow leopard population. As many of these families depend on livestock for their livelihood, snow leopard attacks can often have devastating economic impacts and prompt poaching to prevent future attacks.
In an effort to ease the financial burdens that cause snow leopard poaching, the Snow Leopard Trust provides training and equipment to families in central Asia to create beautiful, handmade products from the wool of their livestock. The trust also provides a yearly bonus to communities who sign a conservation agreement to protect the leopards in their area. Handmade by artisans in Pakistan.
Please note, the Hand Embroidered Napkins have been discontinued. When each style sells out, it will no longer be available and will be removed from the drop down. At this time, the black set is the only color available.
