Pasture Under Glass

Count your very own sheep (well, at least two) with this delightful terrarium contained in a glass apothecary jar. The pint-sized living sculpture features a miniature flock of two in a bucolic pasture nestled in moss and stones. Brooklyn artists Michelle Inciarrano & Katy Maslow balance art, science and design to create these microcosms of natural splendor using river stones, mosses, colorful flora, and proprietary soil. You don’t need a shepherd to keep the verdure thriving: just mist every two to four weeks. Don't be surprised if you start to hear tiny bleating coming from the jar... Handmade in Brooklyn.

New York

Twig Terrariums is a verdant venture, located in Brooklyn, New York, and sprung from the minds of two old friends, Michelle Inciarrano and Katy Maslow. We specialize in creating moss terrariums and other small worlds in antique, vintage, and new glass containers, apothecary jars, science glass, kitchenware, and any odd glass objects we find on our travels.

Each Twig Terrarium contains a very special scene using miniature figurines to complete your little green landscape; from idyllic pastoral scenes with cows and horses to angry punk rockers and Central Park.

Take a Studio Tour to see where Michelle and Katy bring their miniature nature scenes to life!
