Patina is the process of using a torch to produce a film on the metal through oxidation, which creates a weathered look.
His copper albums are warm and industrial, and one can sense the craftsmanship and love that goes into them. Wilson loves working with and forming metal, especially copper.
The process of using a torch is frustrating, he says, but it is the most rewarding part of his work. He loves the depth and painterly quality that develops from it. But by far the best part of his job is that he can spend every day working in the studio with his dogs. See all creations.
