Hang it by your favorite window and watch as the red, yellow and blue lights dance temptingly on your wall. A visual treat for all ages. Handmade in North Philadelphia by Jim Loewer. Loewer is a self-taught glass-blower influenced by contemporary Japanese craft and the American studio glass movement.

Jim Loewer is an artist by day and a law student by night. Raised in Columbia, SC he now resides in Philadelphia. His glass blowing is primarily self taught through a process of trial and error. He loves the relatively instant gratification that comes with blowing glass.
Loewer has an undergraduate degree in painting from the University of California and a teaching degree from the University of South Carolina. He taught school for 4 years before devoting himself full time to glass. He focuses on contemporary organic forms influenced by Japanese craft and the American studio glass movement. His studio is in North Philadelphia in the old Atlas building, which also houses various other artists and craftspeople. collection
