Hand-carved to appear delightfully down-in-the-mouth, this eye-catching fish ornament brings the "Tagua Nut" (and your home) to life! Artisans use both the natural, creamy color and smooth finish of the Tagua nut to breathe life into the gills of this playful, palm-sized fish. With his striped fins, dappled "scales" and his expressive mouth, this funky sculpture will fit swimmingly in your home, as an antidote to dull spaces or a dour Christmas tree.
Crafted by artisans from the ProPueblo Foundation in Ecuador. By using only local natural sustainable materials - like the Tagua Nut which grows in the wild and no deforestation takes place in order to obtain it - ProPueblo is able to fulfill it's mission to provide sustainable income opportunities to impoverished areas in Ecuador.
