Free Your Time

Life should not be spent staring at the hands on a clock. And this clever timepiece by Laurinda Spear will always give you a sense of peace and calm as it subtly keeps time. The white face features three gray rings with tiny spaces in each ring that show the seconds, minutes and hours. But it is the absence of the hands and numbers that makes the Free Time watch so much more than just a unique way to keep time, it symbolizes openness, freedom and the importance of looking at a clock and not seeing anything but an open schedule. Wear it everyday to keep your sanity in check or as a fun weekend tradition that allows you to truly let go. Stainless steel and water-resistant to 100 feet. Assembled in Japan and the US.

Laurinda Spear

In addition to her many buildings and interior design projects, Laurinda Spear designs products for everyday living. Her inspiration for Free Time draws from the work of Arquitectonica by translating architectural elements into everyday applications.

Laurinda, FAIA has practiced architecture since 1977 with her husband Bernado Fort- Brescia, in their firm, Arquitectonica. Together, they have pursued an unconventional modernism that is both abstract and romantic, playful as well as dramatic, and forceful. First recognized for its flamboyant contributions to Miami's skyline in buildings such as the Atlantis, "the building with a hole in the middle," Arquitectonica has earned a reputation that has spread throughout the world. Today, Arquitectonica has representative work in the United States, Europe, South America and Asia.

Laurinda's architecture and design projects, widely covered in the international press, have received a number of awards. Among them, AIA Honor Awards, Awards for Excellence in Architecture and Progressive Architecture Design Awards.
