floating camera phone lampby Tyagi Schwartz $350.00
- the story
Sight & Sound
The found-object creations of Tyagi Schwartz are both works of art and eye-catching furnishings. This tabletop lamp has its bulb shining from a vintage camera which seems to hover in the air. Coiling from the phone is a hand-shaped length of steel tubing, which connects down to a vintage telephone handset, forming the base of the lamp. The playful juxtaposition of visual and auditory tools evokes the artwork of the Pop Art and Surrealist movements. Wherever it's placed in your home or office, this brilliant objet d'art is sure to spark plenty of conversation. The candelabra socket has a built-in high/low dimmer switch, and comes with a 25 watt bulb. Made in Brooklyn, New York.
