Simply Natural

Artist Teresa Kahres creates this gorgeous bracelet through a unique process, resulting in a beautiful organic form. Thin pieces of sterling silver are hand cut and finished with two coatings of enamel. This glaze is then kiln-fired to produce the lustrous look of glass. Set on a delicate chain, this simply chic bracelet is highlighted by the leaf-inspired link, bearing an organic, one-of-a-kind silhouette. Handmade in Brooklyn from 80% recycled materials.

Teresa Kahres

Teresa Kahres studied jewelry design and enameling at Suny New Paltz, The Cecelia Bauer Studio in New York City and in the city of Siena in Italy. After settling in Brooklyn she founded her nature inspired line t.kahres jewelry in 2006. t.kahres jewelry is a small handcrafted sustainable jewelry design business using materials from trusted American suppliers. All of the metals with the exception of some findings and chains she uses are recycled and the diamonds are to the best of the companies knowledge conflict free.

Teresa finds inspiration in traveling, the outdoors and in the city and incorporates her life experience into her line. Her metal work such as the stack rings show a more urban and edgier side while the delicate quality in her enameled pieces radiate strength and substance, allowing her to capture her deep love for the colors found in nature within each piece. While her pieces, often castings of organic matter such as sea urchins, leaves, and shells, have an ethereal quality, they also possess strength and substance.

t.kahres jewelry combines exquisite craftsmanship with the eye of a natural artist. Each piece has been meticulously crafted like a small sculpture and truly stands alone.
