Featuring interlocking geometric patterns, these cuff bracelets are hand embroidered by indigenous Tarahumara artisans in the mountains of Chihuahua, Mexico. They patiently cover the brass bracelet matrix with 100% cotton thread to produce captivating coral or blissful blue motifs. These cuffs will add a bit of bright bohemian intrigue to your ensemble. Sofia Batiz is an artist, adventurer, risk taker, and sometimes hermit originally from Mexico. She studied visual art and jewelry making, but developed a love for textiles in her travels around the world, finding in embroidery a common thread of humanity. Concerned about widespread poverty in Mexico--especially among indigenous groups like the Tarahumaras - Sofia wanted to help effect change and create a movement of love and compassion.
