Personally, I prefer the bright colors of the original version. I have many friends who would love the minimalist look of the black and steel, however. It looks sleek and appealing.

These utensil were much more attractive in colors and in nylon. Much too upscale for ordinary kitchen tools.

Though I understand giving another option for those that prefer monochromatic utensils, I still don't like this because it's make in China.
