Block Like an Egyptian
Your child can now build a monument to the ages, even if they knock it down five minutes later. These Egyptian hieroglyphics building blocks will stand the test of time because they're a great developmental toy: younger children will love stacking the brightly colored wooden pieces, while older children can explore the ancient writings, and can even spell out secret messages. Some sides are embossed with letter of the ancient Egyptian alphabet, while others combine those letters into words or ideas. The accompanying booklet offers a thorough introduction to the details of the language. Made in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- Item ID: 21793
- Materials: basswood, non-toxic permanent ink
- 3.5" L x 3.5" W x 12.25" H; 28 blocks
- Care instructions: You can clean your blocks lightly with a damp cloth and mild detergent, but avoid getting the embossed sides wet. Moisture is more likely to cling to the crevices, making them more susceptible to damage.

Standard ABCs blocks are certainly nice, but this set takes symbols a step further (by looking to the past). Would your child love to build a pyramid of Egyptian Hieroglyphic Blocks?

You don!t list prices. Price point would be a determinate for me.

Thanks for voting, Carolyn. We're leaving prices out in our voting app for now, because we're looking for feedback on the actual design of each product. We want to know what you love about the design, or how you think it could be improved. Why did you decide to give these blocks a thumbs down? What could the designers do to make them better?

These are really unique and I love how the box is shaped like an Egyptian obelisk, really cool!

While these are very cool, I feel I could make them myself for a cheaper price than what it would be to buy and ship them.

I'm not sure who would want this. I feel like once one is old enough to appreciate what Egyptian hieroglyphics are, they are too old to want to play with blocks.

I like that they're wooden and that they have more play (using the hieroglyphics for messages) than just stacking. This is a toy a child could play with for years!

As an early childhood educator, I love using blocks and other construction items as a center. What a great addition to studies on Ancient History! I would love to promote this item on my homeschool blog -- my homeschooling followers would love it!

Clever, but I can only imagine a very few people who would want these. Namely Egyptologists.

I'd consider using these as a decorating element in almost any room.
