Small Fry

From their sweet rosy cheeks to their delectable little toes, you know your little dumpling looks good enough to eat, and now he or she can dress the part with this Asian-fusion swaddling cloth. Soft layers of stretchy cotton-polyester blend "egg roll wrapper" envelop your cutie, keeping them cuddled, secure, and looking deliciously adorable. Since too much heat can cause baby (and his or her parents) to lose their cool, the breathable fabric blend ensures that the little one will stay at a comfortable mild temperature, even through summer's most scorching days. A matching hat provides the perfect topping, and a giftable bag with sweet and spicy "nutritional" facts provides a hearty side of laughs during the baby shower. Cut and sewn by hand in Los Angeles and Oakland, California.

Katharine Harlan Owens

Katharine did not start her career thinking that she would be in the baby business. In fact, after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles (GO BRUINS!), she worked in Wine Marketing in Napa, CA. She loved working in the wine industry because it allowed her to combine her passion for wine and food with her entrepreneurial spirit and love of marketing. As a self-proclaimed "foodie," Katharine credits Julia Child for inspiring her to be a strong woman both in the office and in the kitchen. She is most inspired by Julia's wise words: "Find something you're passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it." It was in early 2012, when Katharine left her job as a Marketing Manager for a pet apparel design company, that her career path took this new direction and shape. After moving south from San Francisco to Santa Clara, CA, she found herself unemployed. After many lackluster job interviews, she decided to develop a product idea to keep her mind active and inspired while she hunted for jobs. She never thought this idea would develop into her company. But she is so grateful to be where she is today. When she is not in her home office designing the next "food-inspired" baby product, Katharine can be found in the kitchen, cooking up a delicious feast for friends and family (and most importantly, for her loving husband Wes!). She also loves to grow vegetables in her garden, to play with her two wonderful rescue dogs Sophie and Sheila, and to travel the world to learn more about international food and wine cultures. Katharine's goal when she built this company was to inspire every mother and baby to enjoy the greatness of life. As Julia would say—Bon Appétit! collection
