Bowled Over
California-based potter Marge Marguiles creates vibrant nesting bowls glazed in colors that recall the wine country in which the bowls were made. Marge throws each piece on a pottery wheel and then alters them by hand, creating varied bowls inspired by the phases of the moon with textured, asymmetrical surfaces that invites tactile exploration. Taken individually, these varied pieces make striking backdrops for appetizers and entrées, and are perfectly suited to serve gatherings both intimate and extravagant. Handmade in California.

Marge Margulies
Marge Margulies graduated from the Philadelphia College of Art in 1981. Her decision to switch from painting to pottery was originally functional ("I had more paintings lying around than I knew what to do with," she says), but now Marge creates some of the most inspired and well-thrown pottery around.
