The Manor Bindery

The Manor Bindery, created in 1976 by a group of friends with a common passion for books and fine binding, get its namesake from the Manor of Cadland, an estate once used by William the Conqueror himself. Bringing together a small team of craftsmen, expert in binding and restoring antiquarian books the company has expanded and diversified into new and interesting fields. One of which is the manufacture of false books. Some might say this is unusual but the use of false books to conceal doors, weapons and other secrets is as old as bookbinding itself. The Kindle and iPad are the perfect example of wrapping new, modern technology with the look and nostalgic feel of an antiquarian book. See all creations.

If only I had an E reader.... If I did, my vote would be: Andersen's fairy tales

A little expensive for an e-reader book cover, but I like the old-fashioned-ness of it and the way it appeals to nostalgia while still doing something new.I vote for Darwin -- It's like saying, Look How Far We've Come!

What about some Jane Austen titles?

A little pricey for my taste. and although I love a good antique, I don't much care for replicas. How about something a little more modern.

Not sure I like this. One of the great things about having an e-Reader is privacy. Seems a bit ostentatious.

This is a clever and unique product that gives a classic look to a new, technological product.

Cute idea/product, not a nice price. :-(

Love the idea, but the price is way too high. I thought maybe it was made from organic or recycled stuff to justify the price, but seeing that it is only paper and cardboard makes me wonder how sturdy it is.

Way too expensive, but great idea.

I don't like the style very much and it's definitely too expensive.

E readers hold lots of books, so... shouldn't the title be "Everything"?

Amanda

andersen's fairy tales- cool idea!

as the owner of a nook color, i love the idea of the nostalgic book cover. however, i'm not crazy about the look of the front and back of the cover. the price is definitely too high for something made of just corragated fiber board and printed paper.

If it's paper and cardboard, I don't think $50.00 is a fair price. We got my mom a leather cover for her Nook

Love the idea, too expensive for what it is though. And it doesn't say which Kindle model it fits. I have the newer one and it's smaller than the original. Would buy it if it was closer to maybe $30 or so.

I like the idea, but not the price. Being eco-smart and trendy doesn't have to be so pricey!!!
