Protect Your E-Reader With Pride and Prejudice

More than 200 years after it was first published, Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice remains one of the most enduring classics of modern English literature. The title's durability takes on new meaning with this handsome electronic reader protective case, handmade by English bookbinders, in the style of an early printing of Pride and Prejudice. Practical as it is charming, this case will turn your e-reader into something of a classic itself. E-reader cover fits the Kindle 3, iPad cover fits the iPad 2. E-reader cover for Kindle Fire is coming soon.

These stately covers are also available in four other titles: Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales, Charles Darwin's On The Origins of Species, Einstein's Theory of Relativity, and Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace.

The Manor Bindery

The Manor Bindery, created in 1976 by a group of friends with a common passion for books and fine binding, get its namesake from the Manor of Cadland, an estate once used by William the Conqueror himself. Bringing together a small team of craftsmen, expert in binding and restoring antiquarian books the company has expanded and diversified into new and interesting fields. One of which is the manufacture of false books. Some might say this is unusual but the use of false books to conceal doors, weapons and other secrets is as old as bookbinding itself. The Kindle and iPad are the perfect example of wrapping new, modern technology with the look and nostalgic feel of an antiquarian book.

Comments about E-Reader and iPad Case - Pride & Prejudice:

I received this as a gift, and I returned it. For the price, I expected more than cardboard. I've received many gifts and purchased many gifts from Uncommon Goods, and this is the first time I've been disappointed. The return and exchange process was very easy, though.

Comments about E-Reader and iPad Case - Pride & Prejudice:

I received this as a gift. Unfortunately, I am returning as it looks very cheap and I am worried it actually wouldn't protect my iPad. The book cover is a great idea, but it is made of cardboard and is too shiny. Does not look like a real book. It also is bulky for an iPad cover. After putting my iPad in the case it is almost an inch thick.

Comments about E-Reader and iPad Case - Pride & Prejudice:

This is a cute Kindle cover. I do think it is cheaply made and therefore a bit over-priced. I bought it as a gift so don't mind as much. I personally prefer my plain black leather Kindle cover for the same price.

                Service and delivery comments:

Good customer service! I accidentally entered an incorrect shipping address and was contacted by CS the very next day. The CSR was very nice and helpful.

Looked like a great product. Unfortunately I had the kindle fire so I had to return it. Only con was that it didn't have a latch/magnet/button snap where I could close it all the way.

                        Still, very stylish and cute!

Expected it to look just like a book but instead was a laminated picture of a book. Was hoping for it to feel like a real book with the pages taken out. Attachment seemed flimsy.

This cover is cardboard covered in a picture of an old leather book laminated adhesive. I would price point something like this for $10-15 NOT the price it is being sold at. I packed it back up and returned it UPS the next day.

A little expensive for an e-reader book cover, but I like the old-fashioned-ness of it and the way it appeals to nostalgia while still doing something new.I vote for Darwin -- It's like saying, Look How Far We've Come!

A little pricey for my taste. and although I love a good antique, I don't much care for replicas. How about something a little more modern.

Not sure I like this. One of the great things about having an e-Reader is privacy. Seems a bit ostentatious.

This is a clever and unique product that gives a classic look to a new, technological product.

Love the idea, but the price is way too high. I thought maybe it was made from organic or recycled stuff to justify the price, but seeing that it is only paper and cardboard makes me wonder how sturdy it is.

E readers hold lots of books, so... shouldn't the title be "Everything"?

as the owner of a nook color, i love the idea of the nostalgic book cover. however, i'm not crazy about the look of the front and back of the cover. the price is definitely too high for something made of just corragated fiber board and printed paper.

If it's paper and cardboard, I don't think $50.00 is a fair price. We got my mom a leather cover for her Nook

Love the idea, too expensive for what it is though. And it doesn't say which Kindle model it fits. I have the newer one and it's smaller than the original. Would buy it if it was closer to maybe $30 or so.
