Made In The Shade
Transport your favorite nook to the tropics with Heather Wells' festive, cocktail-inspired nightlights. The shade is made from tiny cocktail umbrellas, which she collects from friends and restaurants. She coats them in a protective resin and dips the tip of each one in phosphorescent paint, so they continue to shine like little stars once the lights are turned out. Shade handmade in Massachusetts; nightlight base and components made in China. Treated with a fire-resistant seal. Requires 5W bulb, included.
Sold separately.
Each is one-of-a-kind and will vary slightly.Exclusively at UncommonGoods.
- Item ID: 20761

- 5" H x 6" W x 3" D
- UL parts. Shades are handmade and fragile, so please handle with care.
Heather Wells
It began as a project in her senior year at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2002, but creating her unique and colorful lamp collection soon became Heather Wells' full-time job! Using drink umbrellas collected from friends and local restaurants, each of Wells' handmade creations is truly a one-of-a-kind piece. Heather had so much fun designing and handcrafting these lighting fixtures, she couldn't help but make it her calling. See all creations.

I love these so much! They remind me of good times when I was a little girl.

Thumbs sideways: Great concept, really pretty, but bulky design. I bet these would be prettier if they were custom manufactured to just be one big umbrella. I know you lose the recycled aspect, but...
