"Ever since I can remember, I've been making something. It's not surprising that I'm now a 21 year old attending the Maryland Institute College of Art as a painting major and loving every minute of it. Only up until recently, however, I developed a huge crush on design; now I'm an oddball who feels at home in both a dusty paint-splattered studio and a sleek cutting-edge computer lab. I guess this design I entered for Uncommongood's Iphone case challenge reflects that pretty well. I believe that opposites attract. The childlike marks of the colorful planets and the sharp lines of the graphic mountains couldn't be more different, and when together, they create an identifiable yet a foreign landscape - a dreamscape. I hope this Iphone cover takes you somewhere you have never been to, a magical place totally outside of the realms of reality."
Touch the Sky
There's another existence just beyond the one we see, a world more mysterious but no less real than our own. That's spirit conveyed by Hanna Kim's ethereal artwork. A soaring mountain peak, illustrated with clean black ink on white, stands out against a sky filled with fluid splashes of color, some graced with planetary rings. Wrap your phone in this case, and perhaps you'll be reminded to get in touch with more than just your friends.
