daruma recycled bank
- the story
Yen and Now
Made in Japan from recycled Japanese currency, the Daruma bank is based on popular Japanese wish dolls modeled after Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism. Initially, the eyes are white, and you color in the right eye as you make a wish (or start saving). When your wish comes true or you reach your savings goal, color in the left eye.
This bank is made up of approximately 80 bills, a combination of 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 and 10,000 yen bills. Due to the range of colors of the Japanese bills, each product may be slightly different in color, featuring hues of green, yellow, and blue. Made in Japan.

Comments about DARUMA RECYCLED BANK:
My daughter had set a goal to save money for a theme park trip with friends this summer. Since she is doing so great I thought I would make getting to her goal even more fun w/ this fun bank!
