Using skills that earned her a finalist spot in the Uncommon Jewelry Design Challenge, Tina carefully molds your desired name or word (up to ten letters)into a custom wax mold, and then her lovely scripted letters are cast in sterling silver. Then, just send an email to custom@uncommongoods.com with your name, phone number and order number. Please indicate the correct spelling of the name or personalized word (up to ten (10) characters) that you would like to be casted in sterling silver for the necklace. You will receive a digital photo of the wax mold for your approval before the final product is cast.

Tina Tang is a jewelry designer who loves to make stuff with her hands. Oh, and she also loves handbags, pecan pie, opera, and techies.

Hailing from the suburbs of Maryland from Chinese immigrant parents who wanted her to be a scientist, doctor or something "responsible" that guaranteed a paycheck. Being the good girl that she was, Tina did what her mom and dad wanted, got a college degree from the University of Chicago and went to work in finance as an equities trader. Five years later, after feeling like her soul was shriveling, Tina left her job and returned to her first instinct and love: making stuff with her hands.
