As the child grows from innocent babe to adventurous toddler, the little one and his or her parents can still get wrapped up in the excitement of those first big steps in life with Kathy Carrier's custom quilt.

Each one-of-a-kind quilt is handmade out of your choice of 15-25 of the child's most memorable outfits. The darling pieces are then cut into sweet, bubble-shaped patches and quilted with 100% premium cotton into the finished piece. Regardless of the original patterns and fabrics provided, every quilt is custom designed by an expert seamstress to capture the essence and excitement of the baby's first year. Every cozy blanket is backed with 20/80 cotton/polyester batting, making it ideal for keeping tootsies toasty as you take in your favorite bedtime story. Kathy Carrier

When Kathy's father-in-law, Byron Carrier, passed away in 2009, his wife, Mary Carrier, spent 5 months making 32 bears out his clothing which were then presented to their children and grandchildren as a tribute to his legacy. Kathy, a successful entrepreneur and owner of a 250-person consulting firm understood the opportunity, felt the calling, and moved forward.

Today, Kathy's company, Keepsake Threads, designs and produces custom textile items including quilts, pillows, scarves, stuffed animals, and various home accessories and accents utilizing an individual's repurposed clothing and photographs. See all creations.
