Do You Want That To Go?

Now you can have your art and drink it too with Michel Harvey's porcelain interpretation of a to-go cup. With careful attention to detail, Harvey has captured the uniformity of the ridged cardboard sleeve that has become an iconic part of our morning coffee routine. Handmade in Canada.

Michel Harvey

Creator of the whimsical ceramic kraft paper bag and glove vases, Michel Harvey compares his work to that of a magician. "Nothing in his hand, nothing up his sleeves."

Raised in Quebec City, he studied design at the University of Quebec and Ceramics at Cegep of Montreal, and he now lives in Montreal.

His technique, like a magic wand, transforms common, anonymous, everyday objects info art forms that surprise, intrigue and amuse.

His main objective is to create a work of quality which is also pleasant to own, but which is able to do more - his handcrafted porcelain vases can hold water, plants and flowers.

If he were not an artist, he says he'd be a magician - "probably as good as David Copperfield."
